A parent letter will be sent home January 6/7. Please review it so that you know what to expect from this unit. It will also include key dates about assignments and assessments throughout this unit.
Report cards for Semester 1 will be sent home January 9. Please make sure you look at this and talk with your child about goals for this semester.
Students will take the SRI (a measure of reading ability) early this month. Talk to your child about their scores and encourage them to continue reading.
The full text of Romeo and Juliet can be accessed on the online textbook. The web site is www.pearsonrealize.com. Username is rockdalestudent and password is R0ckdal3 (case sensitive and must use the zero and the three). Click programs and find the 9th grade textbook. The text will read it to you if students need to listen to the text out loud.
